      Couture Spring Summer 2025

      2025-01-30

On January 27, 2025, Tony Ward presented his Spring-Summer 2025 Couture collection, Twilight Reverie, at the majestic Palais de Chaillot, in Paris, on the first day of Haute Couture Week.

As clock hit 6:30 pm and the sun set over the city, the runway became a stage for transformation, celebrating the fleeting beauty of the twilight hour through an immersive display of craftsmanship and design.

The collection drew inspiration from the interplay of light and shadow during twilight, a moment of harmony between the ephemeral and the eternal.

This theme was reflected in the collection’s meticulous detailing, innovative techniques, and thoughtful use of materials. Each piece embodied a duality: bold silhouettes paired with intricate embellishments, structured tailoring balanced by fluid draping, and vibrant hues contrasted with metallic tones.

    • Crafted in the House’s Ateliers, the gowns were a testament to the savoir-faire and craftsmanship of the magical hands. Innovative techniques with the use of 3D silk organza interwoven with pleated foils, infinite layers of precise pleats, and handmade raffia threads layered within organza.

Upcycled fabrics from archived pieces were reimagined and integrated into the collection, giving new life to heritage designs.

This combination of tradition and innovation is the collection’s focus on renewal and transformation.

    • The Tony Ward Couture collection featured a wide range of silhouettes, from daring cuts and sleek designs to voluminous ball gowns and dramatic capes.

A one-shoulder gown with a metallic tulle overlay evoked the shimmer of distant stars, while a pastel-toned mermaid dress with asymmetrical cutouts and a flowing cape captured the serenity of a twilight sky. Another highlight was a voluminous skirt crafted with intricate layers of 3D floral appliqués, creating a dynamic interplay of texture and movement.

The grandeur of the Palais de Chaillot served as an ideal backdrop for the collection. Its timeless architecture mirrored the collection’s balance of structure and fluidity, while its sweeping views of Paris added to the atmospheric narrative.
