None other than Raya Abirached, the Lebanese presenter and Celebrity journalists known for the best behind the scenes scoops, and genuine interviews, was radiating the Croisette not once, but twice in Tony Ward Couture gowns.
Both looks were styled by the house’s friend of the brand and stylist, Cedric Haddad.
IT IS NOT A ONE-PIECE COUTURE GOWN
She went for an off-the-season piece designed by Tony, and created specifically for the red carpet extravaganza, for the Red Sea dinner event.
It might look like a one-piece dress but it’s a 3-pieces Couture set made of a clinched, fitted black corset stitched on another black embroidered one, and intricately crafted with 10 different shapes of Swarovski stones, beading, crystals, sequins and shimmers to highlight the sparkles… All handmade from the magical hands of the Ateliers.
The mermaid-cut sleek skirt is another separate piece on its own, made in silk taffeta with a theatrical volume from the bottom and the back train for the remarkable drama entrance!
THE BIGGER, THE BETTER
For her second appearance in a Tony Ward Couture gown, Raya went for Look 40 from the Fall Winter 2023/24 ‘Flowing Lines’ collection for ‘The Substance’ premier red carpet during the festival.
Berries but make it Couture! The asymmetrical voluminous A-line dress is fully made of thick silk threads carefully stitched togther, with embellishments popping out all over the bodice.
Another day, another Cannes appearance.
And it just keeps on getting better with more fire-y looks!
