As she steps on the Montée des
Marches at the 76th edition of Festival de Cannes, in a wondrous lilac dress, we
started to reminisce our shared moments with beauty queen Iris Mittenaere.
Flashback to
our first encounter, back to an evening of December 2016 when Iris was elected
Miss France at the Zenith de Lille. Delicate floral embroideries and light
tulle transparencies, in hues of creamy beige and sky blue, Tony Ward dressed
the twelve finalists of the election that night. Miss France 2015 Camille Cerf
and Miss France 2010 Malika Menard were also wearing his designs to pass the
torch to beauty queen Iris who started a bright career that night.

This also
marked the start of a beautiful friendship. Midnight blue and glimmers of
silver, white bustier with geometric sparkles of embroideries, golden leaves
embroidered on tulle transparencies, and light blue lace, Iris Mittanere appeared
in Tony Ward dresses at Red Carpet events, on the cover of magazines and at the
front row of our Fashion Show in Paris. On a magical evening in Manila, in The
Philippines islands, Iris was crowned Miss Universe. She was off to a
successful career in television, continuing the charity work close to her heart
across the globe, and even published her own book about her experience as a
beauty queen.

Glints spiraling into a dégradé of beaded sequins, soft criss-cross cutouts, architectural
pleats mingle with flowy gentle volume, in a tender lilac color, the beauty
queen looked dreamlike last night in a Tony Ward couture gown, at the premiere
of ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’, at the Festival de Cannes 2023. The
beautiful story between Iris and the house of Tony Ward goes on.
