Tony Ward Goes Beyond Fashion

<p align="center" style="font-family:'Times New Roman';font-size:medium;line-height:normal;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">BEYOND FASHION</span></p><p align="center" style="font-family:'Times New Roman';font-size:medium;line-height:normal;">An exhibition of the Artworks of Nayla Kai Saroufim &amp; Nada Matta in the heart of the Tony Ward headquarters!</p><p style="font-family:'Times New Roman';font-size:medium;"><span style="line-height:18.4px;">As part of an initiative supporting arts &amp; creativity, Tony Ward hosted the two artists in the heart of his headquarters on April 24.&nbsp;</span>Two different worlds were colliding; the serene poetic paintings of Nada Matta beautifully mixing with the dynamic and playful steel installations of Nayla Kai Saroufim.</p><p style="font-family:'Times New Roman';font-size:medium;"><span style="line-height:18.4px;">Nada Matta&rsquo;s captivating paintings&nbsp;</span><span style="line-height:18.4px;">highlight a particular theme under the title&nbsp;</span><span style="line-height:18.4px;">"</span><span lang="FR" style="line-height:18.4px;">Racines En Vol</span><span style="line-height:18.4px;">&rdquo;; they tell of leaves and tree trunks in an incredible concentration of stains and lines. Sometimes</span><span style="line-height:18.4px;">&nbsp;abstract and sometimes closer to reality, her work is very detail-oriented. The paintings are often pure black and white, occasionally mixed with unexpected touches of colours.</span></p><p style="font-family:'Times New Roman';font-size:medium;"><span style="line-height:18.4px;">As for Nayla Kai Saroufim&rsquo;s fascinating installations, it is the story of a&nbsp;</span><span lang="EN" style="line-height:18.4px;">playful invasion of her characters in Tony Ward&rsquo;s showroom. Brought to life under Nayla&rsquo;s touch, they appear in expected and unexpected places all over the showroom starting with the vitrine and through three floors, disrupting the usual routine of the Tony Ward building.</span></p><p style="font-family:'Times New Roman';font-size:medium;">Architects, interior designers, gallery owners along with the Tony Ward VIP clients and the media all gathered to discover the showcased artworks and witness this one-of-a-kind collaboration between Fashion &amp; Art.</p><p style="font-family:'Times New Roman';font-size:medium;text-align:center;line-height:normal;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">ABOUT THE ARTISTS</span></p><p style="font-family:'Times New Roman';font-size:medium;line-height:normal;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">Nayla Kai Saroufim</span></p><p style="font-family:'Times New Roman';font-size:medium;line-height:normal;">Born in 1982, Nayla Kai Saroufim is a Lebanese art director and illustrator. An ALBA (<span lang="FR">Acad&eacute;mie Libanaise des Beaux Arts</span>) graduate, she worked at multinational advertising agencies before focusing on her art. In her work realism meets abstraction and pop art; installations make a statement in wood, steel, copper, and mirrors; and colors enter a dialogue with different formats and techniques.</p><p style="font-family:'Times New Roman';font-size:medium;line-height:normal;"><span style="text-align:justify;font-weight:bold;">Nada Matta</span></p><p style="font-family:'Times New Roman';font-size:medium;line-height:normal;"><span style="text-align:justify;">Born in 1968, Nada Matta is a Lebanese painter, illustrator and writer. She studied at&nbsp;</span><span lang="FR" style="text-align:justify;">ATEP (Arts et Techniques d&rsquo;Environnement Publicitaire) in Paris</span><span style="text-align:justify;">&nbsp;and later on exhibited several times her Art at the Metz in France as part of the "Parcours d&rsquo;Artistes&rdquo;.&nbsp;</span><span style="text-align:justify;">Nada Matta&rsquo;s paintings are very poetic and at the same time asserted and unrestricted in their message.&nbsp;</span></p>
